A few days ago we were on the German/Denmark border heading back to Denmark when we see a motorcycle's backwheel sliding left and a puff of smoke.
Chuck says, 'Whoa, did you see that? He almost went down.' This was followed by, see that black mark...that's from the motorcycle. Just as he finishes his sentence we both look up and in unison, 'holy crap.'
The guy on the motor cycle is now next to the car/minivan type thing and flipping off the guy and shouting something in German. Then, he leans in the window a bit and the car driver pulls him in a little. Huh? I would not be messing with a buff dude, dressed in black, with leather shin shields, riding a motorcycle.
The car driver put his vehicle in reverse and starts backing up. The motorcycle dude is straddling the bike, which is leaned up on the driver's side of the car. He's pumping his fist and looks like he's winding up to deliver a punch. I'm putting on the emergency flashers and telling Chuck to prepare to either back up or move over. We are NOT going to get involved in this.
And then, it happens. The motorcycle falls to the ground. Luckily the rider got his leg out before he was pulled over. A little help from the other motorcycle riders and the bike is back up (all the while yelling and screaming at the driver of the car/minivan). Vroom, vroom...a few tries and the motorcycle is moving again.
We get the red/yellow combo, then the turn right arrow. We're off. What the heck??!?!!? Neither one of these yahoos pulls off. If I was involved the last thing I would do is drive next to a) the dude I almost hit with my car...and almost punched my lights out or b) the dude in the car who almost put a nail in my coffin.
Where do you ask, was my camera? On the kitchen table waiting to be packed for the summer holiday. Oh, this would have made for some really good pictures, too. :-(
